Monday 10/27

This weekend was pretty fun. Friday I had to do a 2hr. sparring seminar, but afterwards I went out to eat with a friend. Then Saturday I went to watch a friend in a play that was at Jones County High School, then I went with that friend to another friends party. I stayed there all night long. There was a ton of people there. Sunday I went to another friends house to hang out all the way in Crawford County, and finally went to go see Saw V with a bunch of people from work.

The order that you are born may have a strong effect on your personality development. The youngest to the oldest almost always has a large difference in behavior as children and as grown adults. It has a lot to do with the parents and how they treat the siblings. If they are treated equally then they will mostly develop similar personalities, but if they are treated slightly different then they will more likely than not develop opposite personalities.
The older the sibling, the more responsibility that is expected of him or her. The oldest is expected to be a positive role model for the younger sibling and is to take care of more responsibilities at home, which include taking care of the younger sibling. The parents are much more strict on the oldest because of his/her image and attitude that is portrayed towards the younger children of the home. It is also because that the oldest will be the first to mature and leave home before the others and the parents want to make sure that he/she understands and knows what to do once they leave out on their own. This is to show the younger children that what their parents are teaching them is right and that if they listen just as their older brother/sister had done then they too can be able to successfully live away from home one day.
The youngest child is probably in the best and worst place that a person can be as a child. This is because when someone is the youngest child the parents tend to baby and spoil he/she a lot more than they had done for the oldest. This can lead to several problems down the road for the parents and child. One way that this child’s personality can develop is to be needy and dependent on their parents and older siblings far too long as expected when growing and developing in age. They learn to get their way much easier and expect things to come easier to them than it was for the older sibling. This is because the parents are much less strict on the youngest child just because of that reason. Many parents feel that since they were strict enough on the oldest and that nine times out of ten were successful in making he/she live a positive life that this would reflect back to the youngest and since they feel that the oldest is a positive role model for them that they would naturally follow in their footsteps. The parents feel that they don’t have to do as much work.
The middle child has possibly the best position when it comes to learning how to develop their personality. This is because they experience both sides of the line when it comes to being the oldest and youngest child. Before the younger sibling comes along the middle child is the youngest of the family and is given the easier side that the oldest never really got and they were spoiled and were allowed a lot of leeway by the parents. Then, all of a sudden, they are the middle child with a younger brother/sister to look after so now they are put in the same position as the oldest child and that is to be a good positive role model for the youngest and take more responsibility to take care and watch over the baby brother/sister. This is good because now not only do they still understand and realize that their parents love and care for them so they feel that connection but they now also are learning to be more responsible and know how to handle things much easier than before.

Fall Break

This fall break was great. On thursday I was able to take a day to just relax. On friday I had to be up by four in the morning and be at the martial arts school to meet with everyone that was going on the trip for the weekend. The trip was going to a place called Camp Strongrock in north Georgia for more martial arts training. It went all the way from friday to sunday. During this time I was able to advance my certification as and instructor to become a level 1 certified instructor. Then once we made it back home some of the same people from the group went and saw a movie. Overall it was a great break.
